<p><strong>ABOUT THE POSITION</strong><br> The Employee Relations Adviser will provide high quality and responsive employee relations advice to the General Manager, Employee Relations and to employers and principals of Catholic schools. This is an opportunity to apply your expert skills in a values based organisation, focused on supporting the education and wellbeing of Catholic school students across Victoria. As a key contributor in a growing and dynamic team, this role offers opportunity for exposure across a breadth of employee relations activities.<br> <br> This is a full-time, 6 month fixed term position until approx. June 2022, based at our Head Office in East Melbourne.<br> <br> Attractive remuneration from $100,000 per annum, a collegiate culture and excellent benefits are on offer for the right candidate.<br> <br> <strong>ABOUT YOU</strong><br> <br> Applications are invited from suitably experienced Employee Relations professionals for this full-time, 6 month fixed term position of Employee Relations Adviser, to join a cohesive team of advisers. To be successful in this role, the candidate will be passionate about supporting stakeholders through the interpretation of conditions of employment within policies and industrial instruments, and the provision of best practice advice in managing conflicts, performance and conduct.<br> <br> Your professional experience in contemporary ER and HR professional practices and legislation will be utilised through the provision of employee relations advice and services including:</p> <ul> <li> <ul> <li>interpretation of industrial instruments and policies</li> <li>managing employer concerns relating to performance or conduct</li> <li>conflict resolution</li> <li>managing ill and injured employees</li> <li>development and provision of training</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p>Furthermore your strong communication skills and ability to provide clear, concise and practical advice will be invaluable in developing relationships and providing high level support to schools in challenging and complex situations.<br> <br> The successful candidate must hold or acquire a Working with Children Check, and must be willing to acquire a National Police Record Check.
