The College is looking for a TAS teacher to commence as soon as possible. There is also the potential for a candidate with appropriate experience to undertake an Acting Assistant Head of Department position for 1 year.

<p>Mount St Benedict College, is a girls high school established by the Sisters of Good Samaritan Education with a community of ten schools across Australia. The College offers holistic Catholic education based on Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition and values including Pax, Hospitality and Stewardship. </p><p>The College is looking for applicants to join our TAS Faculty as a permanent full time classroom teacher commencing as soon as possible. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a creative and innovative approach to Teaching and Learning.</p><p><b><i>The College has an opportunity for the successful candidate with relevant experience to also undertake the Assistant Head of Department position for 1 year.</i></b></p><p> </p><p><u>ESSENTIAL </u></p><ul><li>Relevant teaching qualifications </li><li>NESA Registration </li><li>Current Working with Children Check </li><li>Demonstrated teaching experience, planning and implementing teaching and learning programs across the TAS Curriculum</li><li>Have a strong working knowledge in matters of pedagogy, curriculum and assessment for senior school students </li><li>Be a passionate advocate for innovative approaches to learning and able to demonstrate how you have applied this in your lesson planning and classroom management</li></ul><p><u>DESIRABLE</u><br /></p><ul><li>Experience teaching Stage 6 Design and Technology or Industrial Technology-Multimedia</li><li>An understanding of Good Samaritan Schools Teaching and Learning Framework </li><li>Proven ability to work in a collaborative environment as a member of a team </li><li>Experience with HSC marking </li><li>Ability to teach Engineering studies or Industrial Technology-Engineering would be an advantage </li></ul><p><u>HOW TO APPLY</u><br /></p><p>Applicants must email recruitment&#64;msb.nsw.edu.au the following documents: </p><ul><li>Application for membership of staff </li><li>Cover letter outlining your suitability to the position </li><li>Resume </li></ul><p><b>Applications close: 8am, Monday 17 January 2022 </b></p><p>Mount St Benedict College is committed to ensuring the safety, welfare and wellbeing of all children and young people at the College.
