Discovery College is looking for a Digital Information and Literacy Coordinator (TLR 2) to join the community. Successful candidate is responsible in coaching and educating teachers as well as the students about Digital Literacies.

<p><b>Job Description </b></p><p>Discovery College is searching for an experienced educator to fill the position of Digital Information and Literacy Coordinator (TLR2). </p><p><b>Job Summary </b></p><p>We are searching for an exceptional educator to lead our Digital and Information Literacies programme which runs from year 1 to Year 13. A willingness and ability to collaborate with high-functioning peers, a genuine love for working with students and absolute commitment to their all-round care are necessities at our school. Experience teaching IB PYP/MYP/DP/CP is an advantage. </p><p>This role will involve supporting coaching and mentoring our teachers and students to build skills in Digital Literacies in their classrooms. It may also involve teaching of one class in an area of expertise. </p><p><b>Main Accountabilities </b></p><p>Teaching and Assessment </p><ul><li>Demonstrate a strong conceptual and in integrated pedagogy in the use of digital literacy in teaching and learning, including wide-ranging professional experience, depth of content knowledge, and commitment to integrated curriculum (PYP, MYP,DP &amp; CP) </li><li>Model teaching of the highest quality as and when school needs require and directed by the Principal/line manager </li><li>To work in a coaching role in classrooms to build the capacity of teachers and students to understand and independently implement the opportunities provided by digital literacy (Y1 – 13) </li><li>Work with other key personnel (especially the Digital and Information Literacy teams) to facilitate effective and meaningful curriculum design, new media and digital communications technology within our Y6-13 1:1 programme and across the college </li><li>Manage the review and embedding of the DIL scope and sequence </li><li>Manage learning systems and the setup of various platforms (including our VLE &amp; Google) for planning, learning and assessment </li><li>Support school change as identified in the Strategic Plan </li><li>Participate in year level collaborative planning </li><li>Wider professional roles </li><li>Keep abreast of current trends and developments appropriate to digital literacy and provide opportunities to present these to staff </li><li>Design &amp; coordinate “just in time” professional learning for year levels and classes. This PD will include effective cross-curricula integration of digital literacy skills, tools and information literacy skills </li><li>Advocate and monitor Cybersafety policies and operational protocols/guidelines within the school including the signing of the DIL responsible use agreement by parents and students </li><li>In areas of responsibility, research, identify/provide PD advice and support, implement, model, test, review and evaluate all programmes to ensure the best teaching and learning practices are developed and maintained </li><li>Maintain documentation, including school policies and procedures </li><li>Represent the school in key areas at ESF, local and international level </li><li>Performance manage staff in accordance with the school’s staffing matrix and PM processes </li><li>Assist with supervision duties </li><li>Perform other duties which may reasonably be assigned from time to time by the Principal </li><li>Development/Training to support role competencies </li><li>Development activities to be negotiated as part of the PRD (Professional Reflection &amp; Development) process </li></ul><p><b>Minimum Typical Education </b></p><p>Bachelor Degree in Education, or Bachelor Degree in any subjects with PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education), or equivalent </p><p><b>Minimum Typical Experience </b></p><p>An exemplary teaching background.
