<p>Due to our much-loved Uniform Shop Manager hanging up her tape measure for the final time, we have a tremendous opportunity for an experienced person to join us. You will carry on the professional, prompt, friendly, efficient and high-quality service known to parents, staff, students and all other members of the College community. </p><p><b>Permanent part-time (20 hours per week) position – commencing 28 February 2022 </b></p><p>Reporting to the Director of Business Services, the Uniform Shop Manager is to provide a high calibre of retail management expertise to ensure the efficient operation of the functions and activities of the Uniform Shop. Supported by a small team, this includes managing the day-to-day operations of the Uniform Shop and being responsible for the effective and efficient operation of the Uniform Shop. </p><p><b>Key Responsibilities </b></p><ul><li>Warmly welcoming customers, attending promptly to their needs during Shop opening hours and for scheduled appointments, and ensuring that their needs are met in an efficient and friendly manner </li><li>Management of Uniform Shop roster of casual and part-time employees </li><li>Manage and maintain the retail point of sale and inventory software system </li><li>Listening to customer feedback and identifying areas for improvement </li><li>Providing accurate information on current uniform requirements </li><li>Answering queries from parents and following up with the appropriate members of staff as required </li><li>Maintaining professional communication with all students, parents, staff, the wider community and other visitors to the College </li><li>Assisting the Enrolments Officer with responding to prospective parents </li><li>Liaise with uniform suppliers regarding ordering, pricing, quality control, new samples, invoicing and any changes affecting supply of uniforms </li><li>Liaise regularly with school staff, including admin, teaching and Head of Sports regarding uniform requirements and ordering </li><li>Maintain accurate price lists at all times for shop, school website and enrolment information </li><li>Manage inventory to ensure continuous supply levels of uniforms, as required during the year. </li><li>Liaise regularly with the Finance Manager and the Accounts Payable Officer to ensure timely payment of all invoices and advise any pertinent information relevant to outstanding issues with supplier invoices and stock receipt. </li><li>Conducting a full annual stocktake </li><li>Undertaking the daily close off of sales transactions and reconciling cash, credit and EFTPOS transactions </li><li>Monitoring monthly stock and sales reports with the Finance Manager </li></ul><p>You will be able to demonstrate you satisfy the following essential selection criteria: </p><p><b>Essential Criteria </b></p><ul><li>Previous retail management experience in a clothing environment </li><li>Excellent stock control, money handling and retail management skills </li><li>Excellent EFTPOS and credit card systems skills </li><li>Skills in leading and managing a small team </li><li>Ability to provide excellent customer service and support to students, staff, parents and visitors to the College; </li><li>Intermediate level of computer literacy including Word, Excel and Outlook and the effective use of general office equipment; </li><li>Excellent interpersonal communication with ability to build strong and collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders </li><li>Ability to communicate with tact, act with discretion and diplomacy </li><li>An open and friendly disposition </li><li>Excellent planning, organisation, coordination and problem-solving skills </li><li>Ability to exercise substantial independent judgement and initiative </li><li>Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance (or willingness to obtain) </li><li>First Aid qualifications or a willingness to undertake </li></ul><p><b>How to apply </b></p><p>To express your interest in joining our highly motivated professional staff, apply via the online ‘Career Application’ available on our website <a href="https://www.spc.nsw.edu.au/working-spc/" rel="nofollow">https://www.spc.nsw.edu.au/working-spc/</a> </p><p>Your application should consist of: </p><ol><li>Cover letter (maximum 2 pages) that highlights your claim for the role and demonstrates your suitability. </li><li>Resume (maximum 3 pages) detailing relevant work history, skills and experience. </li></ol><p>Essential to this position is a commitment to the Catholic ethos of a School in the Edmund Rice tradition together with a commitment to the safety, wellbeing and dignity of all children and young people. </p><p>A valid Working with Children clearance will be required prior to employment commencing. </p><p>St Patrick’s College is a child safe and child-centred organisation, committed to the protection of children and has zero-tolerance of any abuse of children.
