<p><b>Applications are invited from suitably qualified, highly motivated and innovative professionals to join the Technology faculty.</b></p><h4><b>Technology Faculty Assistant</b></h4><p><br /></p><p>A full-time position is available at Mount Lilydale Mercy College commencing as soon as possible. <br /></p><p><b>CRITERIA</b><br /></p><p>The successful applicant will be part of the Technology Faculty assisting across the specialist Food, Textiles and Wood rooms.</p><p>In this role, you will be responsible for:<br /></p><ul><li>Ensuring a safe working environment in the specialist Food, Textiles and Wood rooms.<br /></li><li>Perform duties as directed by the Technology Faculty Learning Leader.</li><li>Work with students on practical tasks both within a classroom setting and various locations around the college.</li><li>Maintain safety practices in the store rooms and all areas at the school.</li><li>Ordering of materials and equipment, overseeing deliveries and checking off items once delivered.</li><li>Preparing materials for use by teachers and students.</li><li>Assisting with the setting up of displays.</li><li>Maintenance of machinery and equipment including sharpening of hand tools where required, set up and pack up of materials and equipment.</li><li>Assist with the technology/practical needs of VCAL/Applied Learning for four periods per week or as directed by the FLL Technology.</li><li>Assist with the ordering of stock, including capital expenditure orders, recurrent orders, special orders, investigating prices, completing order forms and emailing orders to suppliers.</li><li>Liaising with teaching staff in relation to programmatic needs.</li><li>Ensure equipment is maintained in the Technology building.</li><li>Manage the use of classroom resources and expendable resources (timber, plastic etc.).</li><li>With the Technology Faculty Learning Leader work to develop, compile and register submissions for capital items.</li><li>Attend meetings and in-services as required.</li><li>Maintain the Technology Departments MSDS forms.</li><li>Complete other duties as assigned by the Principal.</li></ul><p>Applicants must have the following attributes:</p><ul><li>Independence.<br /></li><li>Meticulous attention to detail.</li><li>Good teamwork skills.</li><li>Time management skills.</li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills.</li><li>Certificate ll or higher in a building and construction stream (recommended but not essential).</li><li>A Construction Induction Card (White Card) – recommended but not essential.</li></ul><p><i><b>It is a condition of employment that all staff working in the Education industry must provide evidence of their COVID-19 Vaccination status.</b></i></p><p>Please refer to the Technology Assistant Role Description which is available from our website at www.mlmc.vic.edu.au/about-us/employment for further details.<br /></p><p><b>Applications are required to be lodged on the Official Non-Teaching Staff Application Form and all documents merged into one single PDF.  The Official Application Form and Role Description is available from our website at www.mlmc.vic.edu.au/about-us/employment</b><br /></p><ul><li>Applicants should submit their application by forwarding an accompanying letter and Curriculum Vitae with their completed Application Form via email to employment&#64;mlmc.vic.edu.au.<br /></li><li>The names of three confidential referees and their telephone contact details, including personal telephone numbers, should be included in the application.</li><li>All staff are expected to support the Catholic ethos of the College and to abide by the Statement of Principles Regarding Catholic Education.</li><li>Applications must hold a current Employee Working with Children Check and National Police Record Check</li><li>Mount Lilydale Mercy College is an equal opportunity employer.</li></ul><p>Interested applicants are invited to obtain any additional information about the College and this position by email: employment&#64;mlmc.vic.edu.au.<br /></p><p><b>Applications for this position close on Monday 7 February at 4.00pm</b><br /></p><p><i>This College community promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children.</i><br /></p>
