We are a collaborative and hardworking community, committed to helping our students grow as enthusiastic, resourceful and self-disciplined learners in a safe and happy Catholic environment, centred firmly on the love of Jesus and living in His way. </p><p>This middle leadership position involves coordinating an energetic, collaborative and highly motivated team of teachers, working with the support of an Assistant TAS Coordinator in taking forward the Strategic Plan and Vision of the College.</p><p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced teachers, with a real passion for developing a love of TAS and learning in young people, for this permanent full-time position at the College.</p><p>Proven ability, experience and a passion for developing staff and teaching TAS in Stage 5 and 6 are essential requirements for this position. This is a 2 point promotional position with a commensurate time allowance. The position is based at the Auburn campus (Stage 5 and 6) .</p><p>Accreditation to teach Religious Education in the Archdiocese of Sydney is a distinct advantage.</p><p><br /></p><p><b>Essential Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Demonstrable support and commitment to the mission, values and ethos of Catholic Education</li><li>NESA Accreditation at Proficient or higher level</li><li>Registration, or eligibility for registration to teach in Sydney Catholic Schools</li><li>Demonstrable and sustained success as a classroom teacher, with significant experience across a range of TAS courses, including HSC courses.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to improve student literacy and achievement</li><li>Ability and demonstrated experience in collecting and using a range of evidence to assess, evaluate and improve teaching and learning practices</li><li>Ability to implement high impact teaching strategies to improve literacy, numeracy and learning outcomes for every student</li><li>Skilled and committed to working with students through a positive approach to behaviour management.</li><li>Experience and proven ability to lead, inspire and influence teachers in a process of continual improvement.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate the development of collaborative teamwork and quality relationships in working with others</li><li>Proven ability to integrate ICT into teaching and learning programs</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Desirable Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Practising Catholic with accreditation to teach Religious Education in the Archdiocese of Sydney</li><li>HSC TAS marking experience</li><li>Demonstrated ability and willingness to lead and support a range of co-curricular events</li></ul><p><i>Sydney Catholic Schools is committed to ensuring the safety of our staff, students and school communities.</i></p><p><i>In line with the Public Health (COVID-19 Vaccination of Education Care Workers) Order 2021, all of our staff are required to provide Vaccination Evidence that is compliant with the Order as a condition of employment.</i></p><p><i>Compliance with the Order and providing the evidence is an essential requirement of employment with Sydney Catholic Schools.</i></p>
