St James' Primary School, Muswellbrook is seeking a temporary part time (12 hours/week) Learning Support Assistant to join the team from Term 1, 2022. St James' Primary School, Muswellbrook is a Catholic school where learning comes first. Catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6, the school endeavours to provide a holistic and comprehensive education for all students by nurturing the academic, physical, interpersonal and spiritual dimensions of school life. St James’ features an inviting and nurturing educational environment equipped with modern facilities and modern technology. The school grounds feature open plan collaborative classrooms, flexible working spaces, a computer lab, multi-purpose hall, outdoor covered learning area, large playground and playing fields and a fully equipped learning centre with a well-resourced library. These spaces provide a stimulating and adaptable learning environment for all students. <p> Learning Support Assistant position requirements: <br>• have a competent level of literacy and numeracy <br>• have an interest in the process of learning to read and understanding numeracy <br>• have a cooperative nature and a kind manner and be capable of supporting children in their learning <br>• be willing to support the ethos of the Catholic School <br>• be capable of working under supervision of the Learning Support Teacher and Classroom Teachers <br>• be able to work collaboratively as part of a team The Catholic Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle has an abiding commitment to promote the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults - particularly those who participate in the life of the Diocese.
