<p><strong>YOUR ROLE</strong><br> <br> The HR Business Partner role is newly created, and designed to partner with business units such as learning and regional services, finance, information and communications technology, marketing and communications, student wellbeing, leadership development, legal services, strategy and planning, and people and culture. This is a true HR Business Partner role supporting managers and employees within an entire function with end to end HR support and service. This role also which brings with it the ability to help shape HR's future offering to the organisation.<br> <br> <strong>WHAT YOU WILL DO</strong><br> <br> Provide ground up HR advice covering the entire employee life cycle including:</p> <ul> <li>Provide strategic, and operational HR advice on the interpretation of policies and procedures, talent acquisition strategies, engagement planning, organisational reviews, performance and change management</li> <li>Coach organisational leaders in effective people practices</li> <li>Act as a liaison between partnered areas and HR to ensure that HR services are cohesively directed to internal client needs</li> <li>Champion change and challenge the status quo in the spirit of improving outcomes</li> <li>Provide performance management support and advise on issue resolution</li> <li>Assist in the development, implementation, and review of human resources policies and procedures</li> <li>Proactively identify key people issues impacting the organisation and determine practical, and impactful solutions</li> <li>Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, industrial agreements and policies</li> <li>Lead and support a range of key projects and initiatives across the HR Team</li> <li>Share best practice ideas with the broader HR team to ensure consistency of approach and robust, meaningful outcomes</li> </ul> <p><strong>ABOUT YOU</strong></p> <ul> <li>You are a proven, successful HR generalist with business partnering experience, with a focus on delivering pragmatic and proactive HR solutions using a superior customer-driven focus.</li> <li>You possess a strong passion for enabling others and partnering with your client group to drive people focused outcomes.</li> <li>You can seamlessly transition between matters, maintain high-level confidentiality and provide vital support to MACS staff on employee matters, particularly in periods of change.</li> <li>You will be able to flex between supporting strategic direction and rolling your sleeves up to be hands-on, depending on business needs.</li> <li>You possess an authentic and professional approach with exceptional stakeholder management skills along with the intellectual curiosity and the desire the deliver positive outcomes.</li> <li>You have a proven ability to contribute to organisational design and workforce planning strategies, with outstanding interpersonal and change management skills to implement these strategies.</li> <li>You thrive on being a team player with interest and ability to lead and or participate in project teams, focusing on continuous improvement and sharing knowledge and experience to achieve better HR practices with your team cohort.</li> <li>You have excellent written communication and time management skills along with a relevant tertiary qualification.</li> </ul> <p><em>MACS is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care. The successful candidate must hold or acquire, and maintain a Working with Children Check, and must be willing to obtain a National Police Record Check.
