The successful person will provide high level advice and proactivity in the area of supporting student wellbeing, learning and teaching. You will work in collaboration with wellbeing counsellors and school leadership teams. More specifically you will:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Provide expert casework and counselling support to students and families where poor attendance has been identified as a serious concern</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Provide expert advice to school leadership teams around approach and support for students with complex needs</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Collaborate with attendance team members to identify system wide barriers to attendance and assist in planning to address these with school teams</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Provide professional learning to wellbeing colleagues and school staff to ensure best practice in responding to attendance issues</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Collaborate with school based teams to ensure sufficient support and adjustments where needed for students in learning and social and emotional domains</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Collaborate with schools and other professionals to promote school wide mental health and wellbeing initiatives</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Assist with induction of new wellbeing counsellors</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Engage with families to support their child and to strengthen home-school partnerships</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Liaise with external agencies and professionals to enhance student support</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Support leaders and staff to respond effectively to student welfare</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Collaborate with key stakeholders to design personalised plans for students</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Collaborate with key stakeholders to complete Risk Assessments and develop Risk Management plans</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Maintain records in line with CEDP requirements</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of CEDP along with:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Be a registered psychologist or a social worker eligible for membership of the&nbsp; Australian Association of Social Workers</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Have 5 or more years experience in school based counselling</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Have additional experience in non school based counselling services</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Have experience in providing clinical supervision</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Have the capacity to make a significant contribution within schools to matters related to student welfare and wellbeing</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Have demonstrated evidence based professionally informed judgment in dealing with sensitive issues</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Have demonstrated capacity to engage students, parents and teachers in the counselling process</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Have demonstrated capability to facilitate parent and care-giver education</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Be supportive of Catholic ethos</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Qualifications and accreditations:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Registration as a&nbsp; Psychologist (General) with The Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or a Social Worker eligible for membership of the&nbsp; Australian Association of Social Workers</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
