A recent reinvigoration of our People &amp; Culture team has resulted in the creation of a Employment Relations Manager position to lead our team of talented HR Advisors.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">CEDP has an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Employee Relations Manager to lead the HR Advisory team and develop the function as an internal centre of expertise for employment and industrial relations initiatives and issues.</p> <p dir="ltr">Working in a dynamic environment, the Employment Relations Manager will collaborate with a high-performing and friendly P&amp;C leadership team to deliver strategic and operational requirements to benefit our 5,000 employees and 45,000 students.</p> <p dir="ltr">Your duties will include:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Leading a team of HR/ER Advisors to provide high quality services and advice to all internal stakeholders.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Advising system leaders on HR processes, policies, industrial instrument interpretation.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Leading the responses to employment relations and industrial issues and general enquiries.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Maintaining a high quality and structured case management process to produce appropriate documentation for key stakeholder consumption.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Partnering across the organisation to deliver strategic projects and initiatives.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Managing positive stakeholder relations including with unions and external reporting bodies</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Leading the creation of quality data management, metrics and analytics to inform and support business decisions</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">As the ER Manager, you will need the following to be successful in this role:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Relevant tertiary and professional qualifications.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Experience within a unionised workplace or providing advice to clients in these environments.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Team management and leadership experience.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Able to effectively interpret requirements of relevant industrial instruments including Enterprise Agreements and employment contracts.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Experience in providing practical day to day ER advice to stakeholders.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Experience in representation at the Fair Work Commission.&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Experience in enterprise agreement bargaining processes involving Unions.</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation, and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
