The Sir David Martin Foundation Library caters to the wide ranging needs of a K to 12 School. The applicant will need broad experience across K – 12 within a school library environment.

<p><b>Full time temporary role for Term 4 2022</b></p><p>The Sir David Martin Foundation Library caters to the wide ranging needs of a Kindergarten to Year 12  School.  The applicant will need broad experience across K – 12 within a school library environment. Reporting to the Head of the Library &amp; Information Services, the successful applicant will play an active role in promoting the Library to ensure that it is conducive to learning and is a welcoming environment for students. </p><p><br /> To be successful you will need to possess and demonstrate: <br />•    Appropriate Teacher Librarian qualifications and accreditation in NSW <br />•    Eligible for membership of ALIA and ASLA <br />•    Comprehensive knowledge of the NSW Curriculum Wide experience as a proficient Teacher Librarian across K-12 <br />•    Evidence of innovative teaching and learning practices and the capacity to cater for different learning needs <br />•    Ability to extend the Library’s Inquiry-Based Learning programme  <br />•    High level proven skills in digital literacy and ICT <br />•    Proficient use and promotion of online databases <br />•    Curation of information resources to support student learning <br />•    Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of contemporary literature for children and adolescents <br />•    Working knowledge of the Oliver Library System <br />•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills <br />•    Good administrative skills, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability <br />•    Ability to prioritise and work as part of a team <br />•    Ability to create a warm and welcoming patron focused environment <br />•    A commitment to the strategic direction and ethos of the school <br /><br />Interested applicants should familiarise themselves with the School’s Strategic Plan ‘Striving for Excellence’, available on our website at www.ccgs.nsw.edu.au.
