De La Salle Revesby Heights is seeking to appoint an energetic and highly skilled HSIE (Legal Studies) teacher for a permanent/full-time teaching position at the College commencing Term 3.

<p>The successful applicant will be committed to the Catholic ethos of the College and utilise effective learning and teaching strategies and technologies to enhance 21st century pedagogy. </p><p>Selection criteria: </p><ul><li>It is anticipated that applicants for this role will be able to demonstrate: </li><li>qualifications and experience teaching junior HSIE (years 7-10) and senior (Preliminary and HSC) Legal Studies, while the capacity to teach Religious Education would be advantageous </li><li>a deep understanding and commitment in leading the mission and purpose of the Catholic school within the broader Catholic Church </li><li>an ability to create a culture of excellence and high expectations through positive support of student learning </li><li>exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective pedagogies </li><li>a sound understanding of current educational research, including authentic assessment practices, differentiation and effective feedback </li><li>highly developed interpersonal skills, demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff </li><li>being capable of empowering students to be independent and creative learners </li><li>a willingness to be involved in the extra-curricular life of the College. </li></ul><p>The following General Capabilities are applicable to the role: </p><ul><li>strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>ability to work collaboratively in a team environment </li><li>strong organisational skills </li><li>current Working with Children Check (WWCC) </li><li>Sydney Catholic Schools’ (SCS) employee ID registration number or a commitment to Register to Teach in SCS. </li></ul><p><b>How to apply </b></p><p>Applications can be addressed to; </p><p>Mr Michael Hollis, Principal (c/-julie.jones&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au), with the following; </p><ul><li>current resume </li><li>cover letter </li><li>three referees who may be contacted as part of the shortlisting process.
