Siena College is seeking to appoint a casual Instrumental Music Teacher to teach violin and viola. This casual position is for the duration of Term 3, commencing the week of 11 July and concluding the week ending 16 September 2022. This is a leave replacement position.
<p>Working within the Siena College Music Department, the Instrumental Music Teacher will be part of a team of instrumental specialists, providing private and small-group tuition, as well as directing junior and intermediate string ensembles. This role involves 8 hours and 15 minutes of contact time inclusive of ensembles, spread across two days each week. Availability to teach on both Wednesday and Friday mornings is preferable. Availability for the weekend residential Music Camp (6 to 8 August inclusive) and Siena’s Annual Concert (31 August) is desirable.

</p><p>The successful applicant will be required to demonstrate their ability to:<br /></p><ul><li>Teach violin and viola in private and small group lessons
</li><li>Teach across beginner, intermediate and advanced instrumental levels
</li><li>Teach a wide range of styles and support the development of theory and aural skills
</li><li>Ability to provide ensemble direction
</li></ul><p>VIT Teacher Registration or a Working with Children check, and National Police check are required before commencing the position.
