The Director of Schools invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced, and highly motivated personnel for the temporary part-time (0.8 FTE) position of Education Officer: Student Support (Manning Region Schools). This position will be based at Holy Name Primary School, Forster. Service provision to six schools in the Manning Region (Holy Name Primary School Forster, St. Joseph’s Primary School Bulahdelah, St. Joseph’s Primary School Gloucester, St. Joseph’s Primary School Wingham, St. Joseph’s Primary School Taree, and St. Clare’s High School Taree). <p> As a member of the Student Support Unit, within Teaching and Learning Services, the Education Officer: Student Support (Manning Region Schools) will provide support to five primary schools and one secondary school by building their capacity to support students (K-12) with disabilities and additional needs. </p> <h3>Essential Criteria:</h3> <p> • A clear understanding of, and a personal commitment to, the ethos of Catholic schools <br>• Teaching qualifications with post-graduate qualifications in Special / Inclusive Education <br>• Extensive experience in Special Education K-12 inclusive of identification and assessment processes, curriculum differentiation, and personalised planning <br>• A working knowledge of the Disability Discrimination Act (1992) and the Disability Standards for Education (2005) and their implication for schools <br>• Extensive experience in the delivery of professional learning for school staff and parents <br>• Proven ability to work collaboratively within team and school settings <br>• Excellent organisational, communication, and information technology skills The applicant must provide evidence of the following: <br>• Qualifications as a four year trained teacher; <br>• Current NESA Accreditation; <br>• Current Paid Working with Children Check (WWCC)number. </p> <h3>Desirable Criteria:</h3> <p> </p> <h3>Renumeration:</h3> <p> Conditions and salary in accordance with the Catholic Schools Office Maitland-Newcastle Agreement 2019.
