In 2017, the school began a journey of exploring Project Based learning as a way of connecting and engaging our students as global citizens.<br></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><strong><br>About the Role</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt">The Classroom Support Assistant (CSA) is a member of the Classroom Support Team (CST) that plays a key role in supporting classroom teachers to ensure that all students with diverse learning needs can access and participate in the curriculum and activities in order to achieve the academic goals and social skills required for independent learning and confident participation.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></span></p> <ol> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">A commitment to the goals of Catholic education and a readiness to foster the aims and vision of the school in the wider community</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Applies knowledge in areas and a range of skills in a variety of roles and tasks</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Uses discretion and judgement in organising and achieving outcomes in time constraints</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Effective communication and interpersonal skills, in particular the ability to relate well to students and to work in teams with staff members</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 11pt">Initiative and the ability to handle a number of tasks concurrently, working independently and flexibly to adjust to changing situations</span></li> </ol> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><em>Please refer to the role description for an in-depth detail regarding criteria and skill set required.<br></em></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt"><strong><br>Application Process</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt">Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the vision of Catholic Education.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt">Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes and experience as outlined in the position description.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 11pt">This position involves working with children.
