Our Lady Of Lourdes Primary School&nbsp;is seeking a Permanent full time&nbsp;Assistant Principal&nbsp;to join the team in Term 1, 2023.<br><br>Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School, Tarro is a systemic Catholic school within the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle, catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6 from the areas of Tarro, Woodberry, Beresfield, Thornton, Tenambit and Ashtonfield.<br>Our school community is warm and welcoming, with a strong focus on supporting children with additional needs to help them reach their individual learning goals.<br>The school celebrates the unique gifts and qualities of each individual student and encourages them to fully participate in the life of their class and school.<br>At Our Lady of Lourdes, students can participate in many extra-curricular activities and competitions beyond the classroom environment such as debating, public speaking, ICAS, Science and Technology challenges, spelling bees and sporting events.<br><br><br><head3><b>POSITION DESCRIPTION</b></head3><br><br>The Assistant Principal will assist the Principal to lead across the school community to:<br><li>Model faith in action<br></li><li>Develop and shape a shared vision focused on providing quality educational experiences and learning outcomes for all students<br></li><li>Nurture positive relationships between students, teachers and all other stakeholders<br></li><li>Support and monitor the learning and growth of effective teachers<br></li><li>Set high standards for students and staff performance<br><br>Teachers in a Catholic school have a unique role to play and are assigned with the task of ensuring each child has the opportunity to grow both academically and spiritually and to live purposeful lives. The teacher will promote the school as a place of learning and excellence in accordance with contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles (including digital learning) and will ensure the ongoing development and implementation of pedagogical practices that impact on student learning outcomes.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br>Acknowledgement and agreement of the requirement to work within the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
