St Bede’s Catholic College is seeking a permanent full time School Leader of Wellbeing and Engagement to join the team in Term 1, 2023.

St Bede’s Catholic College is seeking a permanent full time School Leader of Wellbeing and Engagement&nbsp;to join the team in Term 1, 2023.<br><br>St Bede’s Catholic College, in the recently established suburb of Chisholm, is a new co-educational Catholic secondary school that is part of the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.<br>The College opened in 2018 and will eventually cater for 1,100 students in Years 7 to 12.<br>Currently, the College has approximately 540 Year 7-10 students, with the first Year 12 cohort to graduate in 2023.&nbsp;<br><br>The key components that drive the development of the school are Courage, Knowledge, Community and Faith.<br>These components align to the four domains of the College’s Strategic Plan – Catholic Formation and Mission, Learning and Teaching, Leadership, Wellbeing and Partnerships.<br><br><br><head3><b>POSITION DESCRIPTION</b></head3><br><br>The Leader of Wellbeing and Engagement works in collaboration with the school leadership team and colleagues to ensure the promotion of student wellbeing in accordance with contemporary evidence-based principles.<br>Across the school they will:<br><li>ensure the highest standards of student wellbeing and learning engagement<br></li><li>establish and maintain a culture of care and ensure proactive support for students and families<br></li><li>work with Leaders of Learning to develop and implement quality learning and wellbeing programs that support engagement and learning outcomes<br></li><li>establish a culture of collaborative and reflective practice<br></li><li>support individuals in identifying new experiences for their continual professional development<br><br>Teachers in a Catholic school have a unique role to play and are assigned with the task of ensuring each child has the opportunity to grow both academically and spiritually and to live purposeful lives. The teacher will promote the school as a place of learning and excellence in accordance with contemporary evidence-based learning and wellbeing principles (including digital learning) and will ensure the ongoing development and implementation of pedagogical practices that impact on student learning outcomes.&nbsp; &nbsp;<br><br>Acknowledgement and agreement of the requirement to work within the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.
