<p> </p><div><br /></div><div>ABOUT US </div><div>Regents Park Christian School is a culturally diverse K-12 school located in the Sydney metropolitan area. We provide an excellent Christ-centred education, preparing our students with purpose. We have been serving families for over 45 years and have a current enrolment of over 670 students. We invest heavily in our staff to ensure high quality evidence-based teaching and learning. Having participated in the NSW Literacy and Numeracy Action Plan, pedagogy in all Primary grades is now data driven, with an Explicit Instruction and Assessment for Learning model. </div><div>ABOUT THE ROLE </div><div>Our highly respected Head of Primary is retiring from the role in Term 3. We are seeking to appoint the school’s next Head of Primary (K - Year 6). This position would commence from the start of 2023. However, it would be an advantage for the candidate to be available to start at the beginning of Term 4, 2022 or be available to assist in planning for 2023. </div><div>As a member of the Senior Executive Team, the Head of Primary has full accountability for the leadership, management, and operation of the Primary Department in accordance with the school’s strategic plan, vision and mission. </div><div>The Head of Primary will report directly to the Principal, work collaboratively as part of the Executive Team and attend Board meetings as appropriate. </div><div>The Person </div><div>This role would suit a dynamic, relational leader. The Head of Primary will engage parents, inspire, support and grow educators, connect with students, and strategise as part of the Executive Team to maintain a culture of excellence across the whole school. </div><div>The successful candidate will be a committed Christian, actively involved in their local church. Evidence of NESA accreditation, current COVID 19 vaccination and a current Working with Children Check are required. In addition to competing the RPCS Teaching Application form, please include a covering letter that addresses the following criteria. </div><div>Criteria: </div><div>• A committed Christian who will provide opportunities for students to develop an understanding of the Christian faith and grow up into Christ, discovering and pursuing their God-given purpose through an excellent education, centred in Christ. </div><div>• Implement and enhance the School’s Vision and Values. </div><div>• Set an example to students, staff and parents in matters of faith and conduct. </div><div>• Demonstrate a continually growing understanding of the place of education, and of teaching and learning within a Biblical Worldview. </div><div>• Experience in advocating strategies that enhance student outcomes. </div><div>• Ability to apply strategies that ensure student engagement with their learning. </div><div>• Experience in building a connected School Community, positive culture, student pastoral and academic care. </div><div>• Leadership skills of a high order with demonstrated professionalism and effectiveness, with a proven ability to guide, mentor and develop people. </div><div>• Engagement with current research regarding student achievement and wellbeing. </div><div>• Understanding of disabilities, including those of social and emotional nature. </div><div>• Understanding of the role of legislation and various external agencies to the school context. </div><div>• Excellent personal relationship skills with students, parents/carers, colleagues and where applicable, external agencies. </div><div>A Position Description is available for interested applicants by contacting lday&#64;rpcs.nsw.edu.au </div><div>Closing Date: Friday 24 June 2022. </div><div><br /></div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div><div> </div>
