<p>Trinity Lutheran College is a Kindergarten to Year 12 Christian co-educational college and an International Baccalaureate World School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP.) Located in Ashmore on Queensland’s beautiful Gold Coast, it also offers an on-site Early Learning Centre.</p><p>We are seeking an experienced Christian educator with the vision, commitment and skills for effective leadership and management of Inclusive Practices across Prep to Year 12. This is a full-time permanent teaching position with added responsibilities for a tenure of 3 years renewable under the terms and conditions of the current Queensland Lutheran Schools Single Enterprise Agreement 2020. </p><p><b>Overview of the position: </b></p><p>The Head of Inclusive Practices P-12 (HoIP) provides both leadership and management to ensure quality learning outcomes are optimised for individual students with diverse learning needs through identification and assessment of learning needs, and removal of barriers that might otherwise exclude students. Inclusive Practices includes those students with potential for high achievement, learning difficulties and/or disabilities. </p><p><b>The Head of Inclusive Practices P-12 is responsible for:</b></p><ul><li> Assisting staff with pedagogical strategies to support students with diverse learning needs</li><li>Promoting an inclusive environment for diverse learners throughout the college </li><li>Continuously working to embed best practice and adapting processes based on developments within inclusive practices </li></ul><p>For a full list of duties and responsibilities please review the position description. </p><p>The successful candidate will have a record of success in inclusive practices coupled with the ability to lead and mentor a team. </p><p><b>Selection criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Post-graduate qualifications in inclusive or special education is highly regarded </li><li>Previous experience in leading a school/educational team in an Inclusive Practices environment including a sound understanding of the Disability Discrimination Act and the Disability Standards for Education e.g students with disabilities verification process (e.g IEP) </li><li>Demonstrated ability to improve the culture of the college through the implementation of best practice Inclusive Practices programs </li><li>Demonstrated leadership ability to think strategically and laterally in Inclusive Practices, and to make sound judgements to realise the strategic vision of the college.
