Primary K-6 Teacher is needed at Prouille Catholic Primary School Wahroonga on a temporary part-time basis until the end of the 2022 school year.

Covering an expansive geographical area which includes the Central Coast and Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, Catholic Schools Broken Bay is a system serving 44 Catholic Schools with around 17,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. </p><p><b>About the Role </b></p><p>Prouille Catholic Primary School Wahroonga is seeking to appoint an energetic <b>Primary K-6 Teacher</b>. The successful candidate will be suitably qualified and enjoy working in a dynamic and cohesive team. </p><p>This is a temporary part-time engagement (0.6FTE) to start as soon as possible until the end of the 2022 school year. The days of work during this engagement will be negotiable for the right candidate. </p><p>We are looking for highly skilled and passionate teacher to inspire, motivate and engage students. Working collaboratively with teachers at the school you will be responsible for implementing innovative and evidence informed practices that improve outcomes for all. Being prepared to grow and learn is an essential part of this role as we aim to ensure success for all our students. </p><p><b>Specific Criteria </b></p><ul><li>Knowledge on how to structure lessons to meet the physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics of students. Strong teachers have extensive knowledge of the content and sequence of Key Learning Areas - including Religious Education</li><li>Understand the fundamental concepts, structure and enquiry processes relevant to programs they develop and teach. They understand what constitutes effective, developmentally appropriate strategies in their learning and teaching programs and use this knowledge to make the content meaningful to students</li><li>Able to create and maintain safe, inclusive and challenging learning environments and implement fair and equitable behaviour management plans. Strong teachers will evaluate all aspects of their teaching practice to ensure they are meeting the learning needs of their students. interpret and use student assessment data to diagnose barriers to learning and to challenge students to improve their performance</li><li>An ability and willingness to incorporate and promote the use of technology in the classroom</li><li>They operate effectively at all stages of the teaching and learning cycle, including planning for learning and assessment, developing learning programs, teaching, assessing, providing feedback on student learning and reporting to parents/carers</li><li>They value opportunities to engage with their school communities within and beyond the classroom to enrich the educational context for students and work to promote the links between school, home and community in the social and intellectual development of their students</li></ul><p><b>Vaccination Requirements for our Staff </b></p><p>Our Covid-19 Vaccination Policy requires that all school staff have received two doses of an approved Covid-19 vaccine or possess a valid contraindication medical certificate. These requirements are essential to gain employment with Catholic Schools Broken Bay.
