The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is seeking an organised, experienced and engaging Schools Tour Manager to coordinate, curate and enhance Parliament House's School Tour Program.

<p><b>The Opportunity </b></p><p>The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is seeking an energetic, inspiring, and experienced educator to manage and lead a new school tours program. </p><p>As part of an exciting program of renewal in the Parliamentary Engagement Branch, the School Tours Manager position will play a leadership role in enhancing Parliament House’s status as an iconic building and location of national significance to ensure that the public can experience the heart of Australian democracy. </p><p>This role will assist in shaping the new school tours program and support the Guiding Team to ensure the school tours program is dynamic and relevant, keeping up to date with the national curriculum and Parliament. The School Tours Manager will oversee the Guiding Team to ensure there is consistency and continual improvement across the team. </p><p><b>Who we are looking for </b></p><p>The successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading a diverse team to achieve quality outcomes. Effective and respectful collaboration will be critical to the success of the position, as you will be working with internal and external stakeholders to develop and deliver expert content both face-to-face and digitally as part of the new program. </p><p>As a member of the leadership team, you will engage and motivate staff to delivery high-quality, expert tour content. An in-depth knowledge of, or the ability to obtain an in-depth knowledge of the structure and operation of Parliament are essential to your success in this role. You will possess good communication skills, an understanding of the importance of positive stakeholder relationships, both within the team and across DPS and externally, and the ability to work strategically and delivery quality outcomes. </p><p>If you believe that you are a good fit for DPS, what we are looking for, and have the requisite skills, talent and aptitude to play a part in (overall job summary), we would like to hear from you. </p><p><b>Job Specific Requirements:</b></p><p>The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance and have a Working With Vulnerable People card.
