St Leo's Catholic College, Wahroonga, has a temporary, full-time vacancy for an energetic Teacher of History and Geography - the ability to teach Business Studies will also be viewed favourably. This is a temporary position commencing 29 August until the end of the 2022 school year.

Covering an expansive geographical area which includes the Central Coast and Sydney’s Northern Beaches and North Shore, Catholic Schools Broken Bay is a system serving 44 Catholic Schools with around 17,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. </p><p><b>About the Role </b></p><p>St Leo&#39;s Catholic College, Wahroonga, is seeking to appoint an energetic HSIE Teacher to teach History and Geography.  The ability to teach Business Studies will be viewed favourably.  The successful candidates will be suitably qualified and enjoy working in a dynamic and cohesive team. </p><p>This is a temporary full-time engagement (1FTE) set to start on Monday 29 August until the end of the 2022 school year. </p><p>We are looking for highly skilled and passionate teachers to inspire, motivate and engage students.</p><p><b>Specific Criteria</b></p><p></p><ul><li>Ability to teach History and Geography.</li></ul><ul><li>Highly effective, skilled classroom practitioner committed to the ethos of the Catholic School.</li></ul><ul><li>Capacity to contribute to the school’s Continuous Improvement Cycle and committed to student achievement.</li></ul><ul><li>Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the needs of all learners.</li></ul><ul><li>Skilled in analysing and reflecting on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students.</li></ul><ul><li>Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices.</li></ul><ul><li>Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community.</li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.</li></ul><ul><li>Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning.</li></ul><ul><li>Experience teaching Business Studies preferred but not mandatory. </li></ul><p></p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Vaccination Requirements for our Staff </b></p><p>Our Covid-19 Vaccination Policy requires that all school staff have received two doses of an approved Covid-19 vaccine or possess a valid contraindication medical certificate. These requirements are essential to gain employment with Catholic Schools Broken Bay.
