We are currently seeking an experienced classroom teacher with a passion for music and a willingness to learn, sound pedagogical knowledge and skill, to teach music in our Primary School (years K to 6). This is a part-time position, commencing in January 2023.

<p><b>The Position </b></p><p>We are currently seeking an experienced classroom teacher with a passion for music and a willingness to learn, sound pedagogical knowledge and skill, to teach music in our Primary School (years K to 6). This is a part-time position, commencing in January 2023. </p><p>There is a responsibility for planning relevant and engaging learning experiences, demonstrating a high level of curriculum knowledge, using appropriate assessment tools and recording student progress through the School’s online management system (SEQTA). The position requires applicants to also have the ability to develop inclusive learning environments, foster positive relationships and communicate with staff, students and parents in a timely and respectful manner. It is expected that the successful applicant will attend staff meetings, curriculum evenings and parent/teacher interviews. </p><p>Graduate teachers are encouraged to apply. </p><ul><li>The successful applicant will have the following attributes: </li><li>Have a teaching degree and the ability to teach music; </li><li>Have the ability to demonstrate high quality interpersonal skills and teaching practices; </li><li>Have excellent classroom management skills; </li><li>Have a good knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum. </li><li>Hold a current TRBWA registration; </li><li>Hold or be able to apply for a Working with Children Check </li></ul><p><i>Geraldton Grammar School takes child protection seriously.
