As a College we implement innovative and engaging teaching programs that are based on contemporary educational theory.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt"><strong><br>About the Role</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt">We have an exciting opportunity for an HSIE at Carroll College.&nbsp; To be successful in this role, you will have strong classroom management and organisational skills that create supportive and safe environments including managing challenging student behaviours and meeting a variety of learning needs.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt">This position is for an initial two-year period with an opportunity for further extensions. Two further extensions (each of four years) may be offered based on performance outcomes. The position will be underpinned by a permanent (ongoing) teaching position within Catholic Education.</span></p> <p><br><span style="font-size: 10pt"><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt">The successful applicant will:</span></p> <ul> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Be an outstanding teacher of experience and initiative who can work effectively with the pastoral team, colleagues, students and families.</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt">As a leader of experience and initiative work effectively with the Principal, Executive, Curriculum Leadership team, Pastoral team and Inclusive Education team to develop a vision for curriculum and pastoral care in the College</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Support the Principal and Executive to build community with staff, students and their families</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Communicate effectively with colleagues, students, parents and community agencies</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Support the AP Curriculum in leading the HSIE activities of the College</span></li> <li><span style="font-size: 10pt">Support the Principal and Executive in all other initiatives as required.</span></li> </ul> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt"><em>Please refer to the role description for an in-depth detail regarding criteria and skill set required.<br></em></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt"><strong><br>Application Process</strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt">Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the vision of Catholic Education.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt">Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes and experience as outlined in the position description.</span></p> <p><span style="font-size: 10pt">This position involves working with children.
