<p><i>Established in 1879, St Aloysius&#39; College is a Catholic, Jesuit day school for boys from Year 3 to Year 12. Situated in the shadow of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, it has an enrolment of over 1200 students. </i></p><p><i>The College is conducted by the Society of Jesus and is part of a worldwide network of Jesuit primary and secondary schools and universities. </i></p><p><b>About the Role </b></p><p>St Aloysius’ College is embarking on an exciting venture in 2023 with the establishment of a new Campus for Year 9 students in Rozelle. The Program will provide a tailored opportunity for young men in the important years of middle adolescence to be formed and educated in an environment conducive to their needs. </p><p>The College is seeking to appoint an outstanding and experienced leader as its foundation Head of Campus of St Aloysius’ College, Rozelle. Reporting to the Principal, the successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic leadership of the academic, pastoral, spiritual and Co-Curricular programs at Rozelle. </p><p><b>Key Responsibilities </b></p><p>The Head of Campus will demonstrate leadership in the following areas: </p><p><i><b>Faith Leadership </b></i></p><ul><li>Lead in a manner that is consistent with the College&#39;s essential nature as a Catholic, Jesuit School; </li><li>Ensure that SACR academic and pastoral programs are underpinned and informed by the Ignatian Pedagogical Paradigm and SAC Learning Cycle, and contribute to the student achievement of the Graduate Attributes. </li></ul><p><b><i>Strategic Leadership </i></b></p><ul><li>Contribute to the formulation and implementation of College policy and advise the Principal on matters relating to the Rozelle Campus; </li><li>Promote an educational vision which is consistent with the mission of the College and the Rozelle Learning Framework; </li><li>Communicate the College’s strategic direction to all relevant parties, including colleagues, parents and students as well as community program partners; </li><li>Pursue initiatives designed to extend students in their learning and which ensure continuity as they transition from Year 8 and to Year 10. </li></ul><p><b><i>Academic and Pastoral Leadership </i></b></p><ul><li>Demonstrate commitment to cura personalis, working collaboratively with team members to provide a balanced educational program that cultivates the academic, spiritual, physical, cultural and social development of each student; </li><li>Lead an inquiry-based integrated program that effectively utilises digital learning technologies; </li><li>Provide leadership in the design, review, implementation and evaluation of curriculum, ensuring it meets the learning needs of students; </li><li>Collaborate with Heads of Department to co-ordinate academic program implementation, assessment and reporting; </li><li>Collaborate with other leaders to ensure the implementation of an age-appropriate pastoral program.</li></ul><p><b><i>People Leadership</i></b></p><ul><li>Lead the SACR Team in a manner consistent with the Ignatian charism and Jesuit tradition of the College, building and fostering a sense of collaboration, high standards, innovation and transparency among colleagues; </li><li>Ensure the engagement of staff in ongoing formation, professional learning and training which contributes to a dynamic and innovative culture of best practice; </li><li>In collaboration with other leaders, implement wellbeing initiatives; </li><li>Work in collaboration with others to ensure all teaching staff engage in a program of regular performance review, compliance training and accreditation. </li></ul><p><b><i>Operational Leadership &amp; Community Engagement </i></b></p><ul><li>Manage all activities on the SACR campus, ensuring appropriate communication and risk management strategies are in place; </li><li>Contribute to the process for the annual College calendar; </li><li>Oversee the processes for staff release, leave and cover; </li><li>Engage with College services to ensure the smooth operations of the Campus, including staff timetables, facilities maintenance, communications, recruitment, etc; </li><li>Engage parents in the College’s educational philosophy, strategies, policies; </li><li>Provide opportunities for parents and College personnel to visit and attend SACR; </li><li>Participate in student programs including camps, retreats and industry experience. </li></ul><p><u><b>About You </b></u></p><ul><li>At a minimum the successful candidate will demonstrate: </li><li>Alignment to the Christian values and mission of the College; </li><li>A deep understanding of the educational needs of boys and young men; </li><li>Hold post-graduate qualifications (at Masters&#39; level) in educational leadership and at least 5 years&#39; experience in a leadership role at a school; </li><li>Hold relevant education qualifications including current NESA accreditation. </li><li>Sound knowledge of legislation, compliance, policies and procedures relevant to management of a College campus; </li><li>Experience in leading innovative practice, informed by current educational research; </li><li>Leadership experience in the design and implementation of programs and initiatives for the academic and pastoral care of adolescent boys;
