<p><b>Head of Junior School </b></p><ul><li>Inspire and lead the delivery of academic excellence </li><li>Provide strategic direction as an integral part of the Executive Team </li><li>Influence and contribute to the ongoing development of the Junior School </li></ul><p>As the Head of Junior School, you will partner with the Principal and Executive Team in providing strategic direction for the Junior School (Pre-school to Year 6). </p><p>With a focus on leading innovation through teaching and learning methodology, you will model the School’s values, quality standards, and delivery of academic excellence. </p><p>You will inspire staff and students to be leaders within the global community and strive to create an innovative, collaborative, and thriving School. </p><p><b>In your new role you will: </b></p><ul><li>Lead the Junior School staff and will be supported by the Primary Years Program (PYP) Coordinator, the Junior School Coordinator, and the Director of Preschool. </li><li>Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership of the Junior School. </li><li>Provide Educational Leadership and facilitate the continued growth of a high-performance culture. </li><li>Maintain a 0.2 teaching load in an area of your choosing. </li><li>Foster an environment of well-being and innovation across the whole Junior School. </li><li>Collaborate with various key stakeholders from the Team to ensure enrolments and financial outcomes of the Junior School are met. </li></ul><p><b>Skills we are looking for</b>: </p><ul><li>Strong strategic and operational leadership with proven ability to deliver on measurables. </li><li>Current knowledge of curriculum, appropriate research, educational trends, schooling practices and pedagogy, and strong working knowledge of the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP). </li><li>Exceptional staff leadership, management, and development. </li><li>Strong business acumen, financial and resource management </li><li>Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with all stakeholders across the Scots School Community. </li><li>Strong emotional intelligence with the ability to engage in tough conversations. </li></ul><p><b>Working at: </b></p><p>The Scots School Albury is a Uniting Church in Australia independent co-educational boarding school in the Albury Wodonga region. </p><p>Our foundation as a traditional, yet modern, place of education ensures our students gain from our experience and history as a co-educational independent Boarding School. </p><p>2023 and beyond will see further development and innovation through future-focused learning experiences that we offer our students to enable them to thrive in what is a rapidly changing world. </p><p>The Scots School Albury - Inspiring curiosity. </p><p><b>Remuneration: $160k package plus superannuation and benefits </b></p><p><b> </b></p><p><b>Tenure:</b> Full-time, fixed term (5-year contract)<br /></p><p><b>Application Pack</b>: An application information pack is available by request.
