We value learning, the development of the whole child, fostering the well-being of the individual; and seeking to grow students of good character who will contribute meaningfully to society. </p><p><b>About the role </b></p><p>Reporting to the Principal the Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that all systems and processes are implemented and complied with in accordance with the standards and requirements established by the Newcastle Anglican Executive Team. </p><p>They will operate as the liaison point between the School Principals and the Newcastle Anglican Executive Leadership Team providing key operational support to the effective delivery of high-quality educational programs. </p><p>The operations manager contributes to the school’s purpose through leadership and oversight of: </p><p>• Corporate Services Management and Governance </p><p>• Work Health and Safety, Risk and Compliance </p><p>• Finance and ICT and Administration </p><p>• Facilities and Ancillary Operations </p><p>• Stakeholder Engagement </p><p>• People Management and Development</p><p><br /></p><p><b>The key deliverables of this role include:</b><br /></p><ul><li>Assist the Principal in the proper conduct and management of the College consistent with the objectives, policies, budgets, and resolutions approved by NASC Board and the Newcastle Anglican Executive Leadership Team from time to time.</li><li>Support the Principal regarding awareness and compliance with the policies, procedures and work practices established by NASC Board and the Newcastle Anglican Executive Leadership Team, particularly in regard to the following shared service functions: Information Technology, Human Resources, Quality and Risk, Asset management, Finance and Communications and Marketing.</li><li>Effectively engage with and support the direction of the Newcastle Anglican Executive Leadership Team in order to undertake duties, ensure appropriate reporting and manage compliance.</li><li>Assist the Principal in reporting to NASC Board Newcastle Anglican Executive Leadership Team, to keep them fully informed of all developments relevant or material to the College’s affairs, including information and recommendations on all operational matters affecting the College.</li><li>Assist the principal to exercise the responsibility of ensuring that, before any expenditure occurs or is committed to (whether for capital works or otherwise), the purpose and amount will follow budget and delegation approvals.</li><li>Assist the principal to comply with work health and safety responsibilities, compliance with accreditation regulations and exercising leadership in this area of College life.</li><li>Work with the Newcastle Anglican Director Enterprise Risk to develop the College Risk Management Framework, complete with appropriate policies and procedures and training schedules.</li><li>Oversee the delivery of ancillary services such as uniform shop and canteen in accordance with the strategy determined by the Newcastle Anglican Executive Leadership Team.</li><li>Support the principal, as directed, in ensuring the effective, efficient and responsible management of all relevant staff, services and systems within the college that are associated with the support and resourcing of the mission and vision.</li><li>Coordinate the use of school facilities by outside organisations.</li></ul><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Essential criteria: </b></p><ul><li>Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Administration.</li><li>Sound experience at a senior management level working in a related sector.</li><li>Demonstrated experience in strategic and conceptual thinking and ability to communicate, being able to translate this for operational teams as necessary.</li><li>Demonstrated operational implementation of project management and change management tools.</li><li>Experience in working in a collaborative environment is essential.</li><li>Proven track record in strong stakeholder management.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to understand a complex business environment.</li><li>Robust understanding of governance constraints.</li><li>Exposure to Governance Frameworks and interactions with Boards and Committees.<br /></li></ul><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>What are the benefits? </b></p><p>Our team are the heart of what we do here at Manning Valley Anglican College, and Newcastle Anglican Schools Corporation.
