This role is responsible for the management of the Debating Co-curricular Program at Ravenswood. Working closely with our Coordinator of Voice, this role coordinates training programs for students and coaches within the debating program as well as liaising with external providers and other schools for the purposes of facilitating interschool events.

<p>Ravenswood is a Uniting Church Prep to Year 12 day and boarding school for girls located on Sydney’s North Shore. This role is responsible for the management of the Debating Co-curricular Program at Ravenswood. Working closely with our Coordinator of Voice, this role coordinates training programs for students and coaches within the debating program as well as liaising with external providers and other schools for the purposes of facilitating interschool events.</p><p>At Ravenswood, we wish to excite students&#39; interest in pursuing their studies both in the classroom and through co-curricular experiences. The successful applicant will be an excellent and engaging leader who has demonstrated experience working with students, teachers, parents and external parties in a school setting.</p><p><b>Essential criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Ability to implement the Debating competition rules and regulations whilst working within school procedures;</li><li>Experience communicating with students, teachers, parents and external parties;</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office suite and ability to use other web-based management applications;</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team;</li><li>Strong commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical practice;</li><li>Experience with managing events, such as hosting an interschool Debate.</li></ul><p><b>Desirable criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Experience participating in, coaching or organising Debating in a school or other setting;</li><li>Experience with management systems such as Clipboard and Synergetic.</li></ul><p><b>To Apply:</b></p><p>Please include a cover letter as the first page of your resume.</p><p>Ravenswood School for Girls is dedicated to maintaining a child safe environment and is committed to the safety, welfare and wellbeing of children. </p><p>Shortlisted applicants will be required to provide the School with their Working With Children Check number in order to be eligible for this position.</p><p>It is a requirement of employment to be fully vaccinated (2 doses) for COVID-19.</p><p><b>Applications close </b>3pm Wednesday 10 August, 2022</p><p>Ravenswood will begin to review applications prior to the application closure date.
