It is a school where staff enjoy a range of benefits that foster health and wellbeing, and students achieve outstanding academic success supported by innovative teaching practices that are underpinned by a whole school approach to Positive Education. </p><p><b>The Role:</b></p><p>We are seeking an experienced Swimming Program Supervisor primarily responsible for the day to day running of the Learn to Swim program Monday to Saturday. </p><p>The Swimming Program Supervisor will support the Head Coach, Swimming with the administration and delivery of the Ravenswood Swimming Program. Experience communicating closely with staff, parents and students is paramount to ensure the strategic and operational development of the Learn to Swim Programs at Ravenswood School for Girls. </p><p>The preferred candidate will require strong leadership to mentor and develop the swimming instructors as well as proven ability working in a team environment. Above all the Swimming Program Supervisor will be required to uphold the values of the Ravenswood Swimming Program and School to ensure its continuous improvement. </p><p> To secure this role you will have: </p><ul><li>Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with program participants, parents and school staff; </li><li>In-depth swimming teaching knowledge; </li><li>A proven ability to construct well-structured lesson plans for learn to swim; </li><li>Demonstrated ability in supervising staff; </li><li>Demonstrated ability to perform office administration tasks preferably within in a swim school setting; </li><li>Computer literacy, particularly with the Microsoft Office suite of programs; </li><li>Experience working within a school environment; </li><li>Experience in training and mentoring staff; and </li><li>The ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li></ul><p>Mandatory: </p><ul><li>Current AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate or equivalent </li><li>Current Teacher of Towards Competitive Strokes or Development Coach </li><li>Current Working with Children Check </li><li>Current First Aid Certificate </li><li>Current Resuscitation Certificate </li><li>Proven ability in a supervisory role for a Learn to Swim program preferably within a school environment. </li></ul><p>Desirable: </p><ul><li>Current AUSTSWIM extension courses </li><li>AUSTSWIM Assessor </li><li>Experience using Simply Swim or a similar software management program </li></ul><p><b>To Apply: </b></p><p>Please include a cover letter as the first page of your resume. </p><p>Ravenswood will begin to review applications prior to the application closure date.
