<p>Marking Opportunity </p><p>The Australian Council for Educational Research has been appointed to manage the marking of the NSW Department of Education Year 6 Check-in Writing assessment. </p><p>Marking will be undertaken in one corporate centre located at the ACER office in Alexandria, Sydney. Remote or Home marking is not available.</p><p>Preference will be given to primary teachers and secondary literacy-trained teachers, and experienced markers of literacy assessments; however, no previous experience in large scale marking operations is necessary. </p><p>The training of the Year 6 Writing assessment for leaders will commence Thursday, 22 September 2022, and for Markers on Saturday, 24 September. </p><p>Marking will commence Monday, 26 September and proceed until Friday, 7 October 2022, or until completed. </p><p>Compulsory training will be conducted on Saturday, 24 September from 8:30am to 3:30pm. </p><p>Weekday marking will be conducted during the day from 8:30am to 3:30pm and in the event that evening sessions are included they will run from 4:00pm to 9:00pm. </p><p>Please refer to the marking schedule for intended marking days. </p><p>Please note that due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19 these arrangements are subject to change. </p><p>Applicants are required to familiarise themselves with the Conditions of Employment, COVID-19 Venue Policy, and Role Descriptions that are available for download via the website.
