Brigidine College is seeking to appoint a Daily Administration Coordinator. This position provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to build their leadership skills and knowledge with a holistic understanding of College operations and ongoing timetable considerations. This is a full-time permanent position commencing as soon as possible or upon negotiation with the College Principal.

<p>Brigidine College is an all-girls Catholic Secondary College in which the Daily Administration Coordinator plays a key role in the daily organisation and administration of the College.</p><p>The Daily Administration Coordinator is a prominent member of the teaching staff and reports directly to the Director of Staffing &amp; Administration. </p><p>The Daily Administration Coordinator will work consultatively and collaboratively in the daily administration of the College and will be guided by the Director of Staffing and Administration to tasks and matters consistent with the effective operation and management of the College’s daily functions.</p><p>This role will provide a teacher who is looking to build their leadership skills and knowledge with a holistic understanding of the complex functions of College day-to-day operations.</p><p>A key aspect of this position will be liaising with the Director of Staffing &amp; Administration, other members of the College Executive and Heads of Departments in ensuring smooth, consistent organisation and administration of daily College operations. </p><p>All teaching specialties will be considered. </p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Daily Relief &amp; Staffing</b></p><p>In responding to the daily relief and staffing needs of the College, the Daily Administration Coordinator shall:</p><ul><li>Assume responsibility for correspondence with staff who have notified of an immediate absence by 7:00am</li><li>Proactively contacting and engaging approved Casual Teachers from the College’s available pool of relief staff who have been interviewed and approved by the Director of Staffing and Administration</li><li>Register daily staff absences, assigning correct absence reasons consistent with information provided by absent staff or the Director of Staffing &amp; Administration</li><li>Effectively and thoughtfully cover staff absences on given days, sensitive to the needs of students across Key Learning Areas.</li><li>Where possible, assigning external Casual Staff of the same or complimentary Key Learning Areas to ensure the continuity of teaching and learning</li><li>Where required, assign covers (supplementary/in lieu periods) to internal staff that is consistent with existing industrial and workplace instruments (Enterprise &amp; Work Practices Agreements)</li><li>Consult with and submit staffing arrangements for approval of the Director of Staffing &amp; Administration</li><li>Guided by the Director of Staffing &amp; Administration, publish the College’s Daily Bulletin by 8:15am and send daily communication to staff with other critical information from the Director of Staffing &amp; Administration. </li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Organisation &amp; Administration</b></p><ul><li>Monitor the Brigidine College Change of Routine form, actioning approved changes to routine</li><li>Liaise with the Director of Staffing &amp; Administration to manage the cancellation of lessons, construction of events and other supervision of College activities</li><li>Update the College’s register of Staff Absence on a daily basis, registering Casual Staff engaged on given days to ensure that relevant staff are paid in a timely manner.</li><li>Process required room changes and adjustments as requested by the Director of Staffing &amp; Administration or other members of the College Executive. </li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Desired Qualities</b></p><p>The Daily Administration Coordinator will consistently:</p><ul><li>Demonstrate support for the aims and values of the College</li><li>Demonstrate discretion in sensitive matters pertaining to staff wellbeing, absence or other aspects of daily organisation and administration</li><li>Engage in open, honest and informed conversations with the Director of Staffing &amp; Administration to ensure effective and smooth operation of the College and to provide a high degree of support in problem-solving skills and navigating complex staffing matters</li><li>Demonstrate attention to detail</li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring the continuity of effective teaching and learning at the College by effectively and thoughtfully covering staff absences</li><li>Demonstrate an ability to action complex staffing situations under the guidance of the Director of Staffing &amp; Administration</li><li>Demonstrate proactivity, flexible thinking and open-mindedness</li><li>Demonstrate an ability to make daily administrative decisions, in consultation with the Director of Staffing &amp;
