<p><br /></p><p>Applications are invited from qualified Learning Support Officers to join a team dedicated to achieving engaging learning experiences that challenge children to achieve their personal best. The position is for the remainder of the 2022 school year but has the potential to move into 2023, dependent on funding. Our Lady of Mount Carmel is situated in Sunbury. It is only 15 minutes past the airport.</p><p>This is a 3 day position with the hours being 8:45am - 1:30am each day. Days are Monday, Thursday and Friday. The FTE is 0.39 and the salary is dependent on experience and as stated in VCEMEA 2018.</p><p>The successful applicant will work under the direction of Learning Diversity Leader and classroom teacher to support student learning through individual and small group work both within and outside of the classroom.</p><p>Special Requirements:</p><p>Applicants must have:</p><p>• A current Working With Children Check</p><p>• A current Police Check</p><p>• Three professional referees - including contact number, role and place of employment</p><p><br /></p><p>It is expected that the successful applicant will: </p><p>- have qualifications in Education Support such as Certificate 3 or 4</p><p>- hold a current Working with Children Check</p><p>- be committed to the values and ethos of Catholic education </p><p>- be highly motivated, committed, positive, friendly and enthusiastic</p><p>- have some experience working with students with a diverse range of needs.</p><p>- display effective communication and organisational skills and the ability to be flexible, proactive and resourceful.</p><p>- use initiative within the class environment to ensure optimal student support.</p><p>- be able to communicate frequently and sensitively with families when required</p><p>- have the capacity to cater effectively for a diverse range of learning needs</p><p>- be able to build positive relationships with children and assist in creating learning environments where all are valued and challenged</p><p>- demonstrate an understanding of child safety and the appropriate obligations and behaviours when engaging with students.</p><p>- be committed to professional learning and ongoing improvement</p><p>This community of Our Lady of Mount Carmel is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.
