<p>MacKillop is looking for an additional AIEW (Aboriginal and Islander Education Worker) to join our team. This important role, ideally held by someone with an indigenous background, works with departments across the College to ensure we are best supporting the learning process, pastoral care and cultural needs of our Aboriginal and Islander students and engaging effectively with our wider indigenous community. They also advise on indigenous perspectives as relevant to our College wide processes. AIEWs work closely with students in a mentorship role, and engage regularly with families and the wider community. An Ochre Card and appropriate qualifications and/or experience are required. The two major focus areas of the job are Community Development &amp; Support and the Support of Indigenous Students.
