Oakhill College seeks an innovative and highly skilled permanent Drama Teacher to join our community.

<p>Oakhill College is an Independent Catholic Secondary School conducted in the Lasallian tradition, with an enrolment of 2,000 students, boys Years 7 to 10, co-educational in Years 11 and 12. Oakhill College is located in Castle Hill, NSW, and offers a wide range of subject choices and extra-curricular activities. </p><p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified teachers for the following position.</p><p><b>Drama Teacher </b></p><p><b>Full-Time Position</b></p><p><b>Commencing January 2023</b></p><p>Due to growth Oakhill College seeks to appoint an innovative, experienced, and highly skilled Drama teacher with excellent communication skills and classroom experience. The successful applicant will have knowledge of current developments in teaching and learning and a passion and enthusiasm for teaching. </p><p><b>Key duties and responsibilities: </b></p><p>• Teaching Drama across Stages 4-6; </p><p>• Stage 6 Drama teaching experience is advantageous; </p><p>• Demonstrated experience in theatrical productions; </p><p>• Coordinate and facilitate TheatreSports activities, competitions and related administration; </p><p>• Ability to teach in one other subject area e.g. junior English or junior RE is preferred but not essential; </p><p>• Experience writing programs and assessments; </p><p>• Inspiring students to aspire; </p><p>• Willingness to contribute to the co-curricular life of the College and involvement in the College musical; </p><p>• Knowledge of current pedagogy. </p><p><b>The successful applicant will: </b></p><p>• Demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School; </p><p>• Be supportive of the Lasallian ethos of the College; </p><p>• Be an innovative, and engaging team member; </p><p>• Teach with excellence, professionalism, and commitment; </p><p>• Have an ability to relate to girls and boys with practical knowledge of boy’s education issues and initiatives in </p><p>   the foundation years (Stage 4 and 5); </p><p>• Adhere to the Colleges Safeguarding Standards and Child Protection policies and procedures; </p><p>• Be committed to professional growth and development of excellence. </p><p>Oakhill College is committed to innovative high-quality teaching and learning and provides excellent facilities and resources.
