Oakhill College seeks an innovative and highly skilled Director of Student Learning to join our community.

<p>Oakhill College is an Independent Catholic Secondary School conducted in the Lasallian tradition, with an enrolment of 2,000 students, boys Years 7 to 10, co-educational in Years 11 and 12. The College is located in Castle Hill, NSW, and offers a wide range of subject choices and extra-curricular activities. </p><p>Applications are invited for the following position. </p><p><b>Director of Student Learning (Coordinator 4) </b></p><p><b>Commencement Term 1, 2023 </b></p><p>Oakhill College provides students with a rich and rewarding educational experience. We seek an aspirational and innovative educator with a proven record of curriculum leadership to support the Assistant Principal Curriculum in the administration of and in managing the planning, delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the education of all students. The appointment is for an initial period of up to 3 years, renewable by mutual agreement.<br /></p><p><b>The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and experience in, the key areas listed below: </b></p><p>• Support the Assistant Principal Curriculum in the administration of all matters relating to student learning at the College; </p><p>• Work with the Academic Heads and Assistant Principal Curriculum to improve the quality of teaching and learning in the College; </p><p>• Work collaboratively and guide the dedicated support staff team; </p><p>• Preparation and maintenance of the College timetable; </p><p>• Supervise the efficient operation of College examinations and supervision of the Presiding Officer; </p><p>• Implementation of subject selection procedures; </p><p>• Production and distribution of academic reports; </p><p>• Administration of NESA, HSC/ RoSA processes, entries, records, appeals and assessments; </p><p>• Supervision of all statutory returns in relation to student progress, assessments, special provisions or illness/misadventure; </p><p>• Supervision of the assessment programs in Years 7 – 12; </p><p>• Finalisation of various educational platforms; </p><p>• Strategic leadership; </p><p>• Religious leadership; </p><p>• Administrative leadership; </p><p>• Team leadership; </p><p>• Collaboration; </p><p>• Developing a ‘climate of excellence’; </p><p>• Visioning; </p><p>• Staff &amp; student development; </p><p>• Communication with Parents and Students; </p><p>• Strong organisational skills; </p><p>• Comprehensive Information Technology skills; </p><p>• Willingness to contribute to the co-curricular life of the College. </p><p><b>The successful applicant will: </b></p><p>• Demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School; </p><p>• Be supportive of the Lasallian ethos of the College; </p><p>• Be an experienced, innovative, and engaging team leader; </p><p>• Teach with excellence, professionalism, and commitment; </p><p>• Have an ability to relate to girls and boys with a practical knowledge of boy’s education issues and initiatives in the foundation years (Stage 4 and 5); </p><p>• Be committed to professional growth and development of excellence. </p><p>Oakhill College is committed to innovative high-quality teaching and learning and offers excellent facilities and resources.
