The College opened in January 2021 with 96 Year 7 students and will increase by one year level each year until it reaches Year 12. It has been designed with a focus on “integral ecology”, with the development over time of an eco-science precinct. Its Catholic identity is enriched through a Franciscan spirituality. </p><p><b>Do I have to be Catholic to teach? </b></p><p>All BCE teachers must have a commitment to and understanding of the ethos and traditions of Catholic Education. Our teachers who teach Religious Education are required to be Catholic and attain <a href="" rel="nofollow">Accreditation to teach Religion in a Catholic school</a>. Not accredited? Thats okay, well support you to achieve this after you start with us. If this role does not require you to teach Religious Education, you do not need to be Catholic. </p><p><i>At BCE we are committed to child safety and well-being.
