<p>The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:<br /></p><ul><li>A sound knowledge and a commitment to the Church&#39;s mission in Catholic Education and personal Catholic faith practice</li><li>Post-graduate qualifications in TESOL an advantage </li><li>A credible and skilled educator who demonstrates ability to develop teaching and learning programs that target the language needs of EAL/D learners K-6</li><li>A deep knowledge of the EAL/D Learning Progression and ESL Scales, and an ability to lead school-wide WSPELP identification and assessment processes</li><li>Willingness to work collaboratively with classroom and other teachers as part of a team to model effective EAL/D pedagogy and support the literacy and English language skills of EAL/D students</li><li>Highly effective interpersonal and organisational skills</li><li>An understanding of the SCS position around EAL/D as outlined in the SCS EAL/D K-12 Position Paper and the SCS EAL/D Equity Loading Paper</li><li>Sound knowledge of the skills and processes needed to effectively support the literacy needs of young EAL/D students</li><li>Ability to build capacity of teachers to effectively support their EAL/D learners</li><li>A sound knowledge and understanding of K - 6 Curriculum and the willingness to differentiate learning for all students and evidence of your experience</li><li>Child protection screening compliance (WWCC - please provide number)</li><li>Registered to teach in Sydney Catholic Schools (please provide ID number)</li></ul><p> </p>
