The school was established in its present form in 1967 at East Gosford on the Central Coast. Covering an expansive geographical area which includes the Central Coast and Sydney's Northern Beaches and North Shore, Catholic Schools Broken Bay is a system serving 44 Catholic Schools with around 17,000 students from Kindergarten to Year 12.<br> <br> <strong>Specific Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>Highly effective, skilled classroom practitioner committed to the ethos of the Catholic School</li> <li>Specifically, the Leader of Learning- Mathematics will lead the curriculum and administrative operations of a progressive Mathematics faculty and the effective implementation of contemporary learning and teaching practices across Stages 4-6</li> <li>5 or more years teaching experience</li> <li>Previous Leadership experience</li> <li>Experience teaching Extension 1 Mathematics</li> <li>Experience teaching Extension 2 Mathematics is desirable</li> <li>Capacity to contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle and is committed to student achievement</li> <li>Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the needs of all learners</li> <li>Skilled in analysing and reflecting on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students;</li> <li>Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices</li> <li>Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community</li> <li>Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.</li> <li>Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning</li> </ul> <p>At Catholic Schools Broken Bay we are in the market for outstanding teaching talent! We match market and offer salaries above minimum rates set out in our enterprise agreement; for example our salary for a Band 2 (Proficient Teacher) Level 5 classification is $111,342. We provide collaborative planning time for classroom teachers which is additional to our usual release from face to face. We also offer critical wellbeing programs, salary packaging arrangements, and a system wide focus on professional growth and developing our future leaders.<br> <br> Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4 year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese.<br> <br> <strong>New position on COVID-19 vaccinations</strong><br> Given the current management of risks associated with COVID-19 in the community, and the gradual wind-back of some settings, <strong>CSBB has decided to no longer require all staff to be fully vaccinated</strong>, <strong>effective 19 September 2022</strong>.
