Oakhill College is located in Castle Hill, NSW, and offers a wide range of subject choices and extra-curricular activities.</div><div><br /></div><div>Applications are invited from suitably qualified teachers for the following position.</div><div><br /></div><div> </div><div><b>Technology and Applied Studies (TAS) Teacher - Design &amp; Technology </b></div><div><b>Full-Time Permanent Position </b></div><div><b>Commencing Term 1, 2023 </b></div><div><b><br /></b></div><div>Due to growth Oakhill College seeks to appoint an innovative, experienced, and skilled TAS teacher. The successful applicant will have knowledge of current developments in teaching and learning, sound communication skills, and a passion and enthusiasm for teaching.</div><div><br /></div><div>The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate knowledge of, and experience in, the areas listed below:</div><div><br /></div><div> </div><div><b>Key duties and responsibilities </b></div><div>• Ability to teach Technology (Mandatory) Stage 4; </div><div>• Ability to teach Design &amp; Technology Stage 5; </div><div>• Ability to teach Graphics and other TAS subjects is advantageous; </div><div>• Ability to implement new TAS syllabi; </div><div>• Assessing, providing feedback and reporting on student learning; </div><div>• Developing teaching programs across all stages preferred however not essential; </div><div>• Managing student behaviour; </div><div>• Sound pedagogical practices. </div><div><br /></div><div> </div><div><b>The successful applicant will: </b></div><div>• Hold a degree with specialisation in Design &amp; Technology (preferred); </div><div>• Demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School; </div><div>• Be supportive of the Lasallian ethos of the College; </div><div>• Adhere to the Colleges Safeguarding Standards and Child Protection policies and procedures; </div><div>• Be an experienced, innovative and engaging team leader; </div><div>• Teach with excellence, professionalism and commitment; </div><div>• Have an ability to relate to girls and boys with a practical knowledge of boy’s education issues and initiatives </div><div>in the foundation years (Stage 4 and 5); </div><div>• Be committed to professional growth and development of excellence.</div><div><br /></div><div>Oakhill College is committed to innovative high-quality teaching and learning and offers excellent facilities and resources.
