Edmund Rice College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and highly motivated IT Support Technician to join the IT Department.

Strongly inclusive, the College prides itself on its diversity as it welcomes students from all backgrounds and cultures.</p><p>For further information about Edmund Rice College, please visit our website - www.erc.nsw.edu.au</p><p><b><u>The Role</u></b></p><p>Edmund Rice College is seeking to appoint a permanent full-time suitably qualified IT Support Technician to join the IT College Department in Term 4.</p><p>The College IT Department supports over 1500 student and staff devices, which include iPads, Chromebooks, MacBook Laptops and Desktop computers. The College utilises a Google learning platform in which staff and students learn collaboratively by using Google classroom, Google sites, Gmail and Google Drive for learning. Other online resources such as Clickview and Destiny are an integral part of learning at the College. </p><p>Reporting to the Director of Information Technologies and Innovation, the IT Support Technician must have a thorough knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, software, peripherals, networks and Google learning platforms. This position will be required to provide support to staff, students and parents relating to the College IT environment and systems. Diagnosing computer and software problems, monitor computer-processing systems, install software and perform tests on computer equipment and programs. Additionally, the role involves the set-up of computer equipment, scheduling maintenance and training staff and students in the use of programs used by the College.</p><p>The key responsibilities of the role include:</p><ul><li>Provide technical Helpdesk support for staff and students</li><li>Manage communication systems and audio –visual equipment</li><li>Maintain networking and remote access for staff and students</li><li>Maintain networking and remote access for staff and students</li><li>Manage and develop College website and intranet</li><li>Manage content management system for students/teachers</li><li>Provide workstation and peripheral support</li><li>Install computers and imaging for devices</li><li>Assist with IT projects as required</li><li>Assist in the ongoing assessment of technology opportunities</li></ul><p><b><u>About You</u></b></p><p>To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:</p><ul><li>Ability to work both as part of a small team and independently</li><li>Qualifications and/or experience in information technologies</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students and suppliers</li><li>Ability to demonstrate flexibility to multitask and respond quickly to changing priorities</li><li>Expertise in computer applications, particularly Google platforms</li><li>High ethical standards, confidentiality and integrity</li><li>Commitment to the Edmund Rice values and ethos of the College</li><li>Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College</li><li>Possess a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC)</li><li>A commitment to the child safeguarding principles</li></ul><p><b><u>The Process</u></b></p><p>Applications (including CV, covering letter and completed ERC application form) can be emailed to Jamon Thomas, Human Resources Manager, via jthomas&#64;erc.nsw.edu.au by <b>Monday 17 October 2022</b>.</p><p>The appointment of a successful candidate is conditional and based on the successful completion of all pre-employment screening, including child-related employment and reference checks.</p><p>Consistent with Edmund Rice College&#39;s COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, all staff are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (or have an approved medical contraindication which prevents them from receiving any dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine) in order to work at Edmund Rice College.
