St Maroun’s College is seeking to appoint an innovative and agile candidate to the position of full-time, permanent English Coordinator (7-12) with the possibility of an additional responsibility to lead whole-school literacy(K-12). This is a newly created role & an exciting opportunity for a passionate leader to design, evolve & see whole-school literacy projects from initiation to completion.

<p>The preferred commencement date is Term 4, 2022 but starting date is negotiable.<br /></p><p>The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate: </p><p><b>English Coordinator (7-12) </b></p><p>- Experience in teaching Advanced, Extension 1 and 2 courses </p><p>- High level curriculum leadership to build the capacity and foster the performance of the English team </p><p>- A deep understanding of HSC assessment and marking processes as well as strong knowledge of NESA curriculum, assessment and reporting and data analysis </p><p>- The ability to design and implement consistent procedures for programming and teaching, embedding innovative curriculum design in line with curriculum reform </p><p>- Ability to create a culture of high expectations to develop, lead and manage innovative initiatives to extend and engage all English students </p><p>- Ability to lead the implementation of differentiated teaching and learning and effective use of ICT </p><p><b><i>OPEN FOR DISCUSSION FOR A SUITABLE AND INTERESTED APPLICANT - Literacy Coordinator (K-12) </i></b></p><p>- Agile leadership in whole-school literacy initiatives that align with the College Strategic Improvement Plan (SIP) priority areas </p><p>- The ability to invite and respond to feedback in order to ensure continued growth in a dynamic school environment </p><p>- Evidence of emotional intelligence and excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with empathy and clarity </p><p>In accordance with Child Protection legislation, all people seeking child-related employment are required to complete a Working with Children Check clearance prior to employment. </p><p>Interested applicant to email an up-to-date CV and cover letter to employment&#64;stmarouns.nsw.edu.au and contact Renee Hajjar Director of Teaching and Learning on 02 9559 2434 for further information.
