Exciting opportunity for a passionate and inspiring pastoral care leader to join a dedicated and innovative College community. Commencing January 2023.

Concordia Lutheran College is a Christian K-12 co-educational day and boarding school located across three campuses in Toowoomba. The College is a school of the Lutheran Church of Australia Queensland District and a member of the Lutheran Education Queensland school system. It has a long and proud history and continues to nurture and empower young people to shape and enrich our world through a life of faith and service.<div><br /></div><div>The College is seeking to appoint a passionate, highly professional and suitably qualified Director of Pastoral Care who will work in collaboration to provide an authentic and effective Pastoral Care Program that provides for the social and emotional wellbeing and personal development of students.</div><div><br /></div><div>The Director of Pastoral Care is a member of the College Leadership team and is involved in the strategic and operational direction of the College and provides daily supervision and guidance to the Pastoral Care and Wellbeing Team. This executive appointment is for an initial 5-year period, commencing January 2023.</div><div><br /></div><div>To be successful in this position you will have high-level knowledge and experience in pastoral care and student development and be able to demonstrate:</div><div><br /></div><ul><li>a commitment to the Christian Lutheran ethos, philosophy and values of Concordia Lutheran College and have the ability to model Christian servant leadership to students, staff and members of the College community.</li><li>a sound understanding of student academic and pastoral management in a school setting.</li><li>effective leadership skills including the ability to provide operational direction and engage and motivate key stakeholders.</li><li>excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with students, staff and the College community.</li><li>excellent organisational skills with the ability to plan and set goals to achieve quality outcomes within identified timeframes.</li></ul><div>Registration with Queensland College of Teachers is essential with post graduate qualifications or training in pastoral care, student wellbeing and restorative practices being highly desirable.
