We teach in teams in technology-rich dynamic learning spaces, using evidence-based teaching strategies. At the heart of our approach to wellbeing is restorative practice, ensuring that students feel safe and supported in an environment that challenges them to be the very best person they can be, living life as a disciple of Jesus and making a difference to society.<br /> <br /> <strong>Specific Criteria</strong><br /> <br /> The role of a classroom teacher at St Brigid's is collaborative; working together with other teachers in teaching teams with a shared belief that collectively they can positively impact the learning and wellbeing of students.</p> <ul> <li>Commitment to the Catholic ethos of the college</li> <li>Passion for working with young people</li> <li>Ability to work in collaboration with teachers to differentiate the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of students</li> <li>Experience collaborating with teachers to develop and implement Individual Learning Plans to support diverse learners and students with disabilities</li> <li>Knowledge and experience of the processes for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) and how to implement this at a school level</li> <li>Current knowledge of The Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Disability Standards for Education</li> <li>Evidence of highly developed planning, organisational and resource management skills</li> <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills</li> <li>Successful experience in building the capacity of teachers to support children with special needs</li> <li>Understanding of, and commitment to, a restorative practice approach to student wellbeing</li> <li>An ability to contribute positively to a professional staff culture</li> <li>A willingness to be involved in the extracurricular life of the College</li> </ul> <p><strong>About us, our Vision and our Towards 2025 Strategy</strong><br /> <br /> Our Vision is to provide 'authentic, professional Catholic education, delivered with care and compassion'.
