<p>Aquinas Catholic College is a Systemic Co-educational College located in the Sutherland Shire with an enrolment of 1,108 students and 108 staff. Established in 1993 the College is a welcoming community inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ. Our tailored curriculum is based on our <i>Enlivened Learning</i> philosophy which fosters a growth mindset in uniting faith, wellbeing and learning. </p><p>We are seeking a qualified teacher to join the HSIE Faculty, with a passion for extending students and developing their confidence to study HSIE courses at the highest level, for this full-time permanent position at the College from 27 January 2023. </p><p>The <a href="https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZpXjjl3axYlVJWzdsWlUXvMdV55E--SR/view?usp&#61;share_link" rel="nofollow">House Coordinator</a> (1 point time and renumeration) is responsible for the overall coordination of the House system and the operations of all House activities to maximise the development of House identity and spirit, and to ensure that students are provided with appropriate opportunities to develop to their full potential. </p><p><b>Essential Criteria </b></p><p>Applicants should address the following essential criteria in a cover letter addressed to the Principal, Mr James Clancy: </p><ul><li>commitment to Catholic education, a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools and a willingness to support faith formation of students </li><li>appropriate tertiary qualifications and approval to teach in NSW </li><li>ability to teach Business Studies along with Junior HSIE </li><li>commitment to academic excellence </li><li>demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices that provide a rich environment that caters for diversity and academic rigour </li><li>an understanding of and ability to differentiate curriculum and assessment </li><li>highly developed interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff </li><li>an ability to work collaboratively in a team environment</li><li>a willingness to be involved in the co-curricular life of the College. </li></ul><p>Applicants should also submit their curriculum vitae, including the contact details of three referees who may be contacted as part of the shortlisting process (including your current and most previous Principal/employer) to principal&#64;aquinasmenai.catholic.edu.au </p><p>Applications close Friday 9 December 2022. </p><p>Teachers must be registered to teach with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS).
