<p>SECONDARY TEACHER</p><p>This role is a 0.6FTE role based at SPCC DALE Cessnock Campus. Commencing Term 1 2023. TAS or STEM experience preferred but not essential. </p><p>GENERAL REQUIREMENTS</p><p>It is expected that all applicants would:</p><p>• Be committed Christians, who are practicing members of a local evangelical Christian church;</p><p>• Be committed to the principles of Christian schooling, including being fully supportive of the Mission Statement, Vision Statements and Core Values of the College;</p><p>• Be whole-hearted in their support of providing a child-safe community, and expect that this is pro-actively managed in this community;</p><p>• Be well-organised;</p><p>• Can function well as a member of a team, demonstrating a heart for Christian service, corporate spiritual disciplines (e.g. prayer and Bible reflection), initiative and leadership skills within their area of operation;</p><p>• Be prepared to contribute to the extra-curricular life of the College, regardless of their normal role within the College;</p><p>• Must hold a current NSW Working with Children Check.</p><p>• The successful applicant may be required to undergo a medical examination before appointment.</p><p>SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS</p><p>• Experience working with students with additional needs;</p><p>• Experience in secondary teaching;</p><p>• Training and Assessing Qualification (preffered but not essential);</p><p>• TAS or STEM experience (preffered but not essential);</p><p>• Completed appropriate tertiary qualifications and NESA Proficient Teacher accreditation or working towards;</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to use a range of teaching strategies that meet student needs individually and collectively;</p><p>• Ability to foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment</p><p>• Proven ability to partner effectively with parents in the education and care of their children;</p><p>• A commitment to ongoing professional development;</p><p>The successful applicant must supply evidence of their COVID-19 vaccination status. Employment will be in accordance with the NSW Independent Schools Multi Enterprise Agreement Teachers Hybrid in accordance with qualifications and experience with the appropriate loadings.<br /></p><p>The appointing body reserves the right to fill this position at its discretion and to close applications early.
