The role of the Diverse Learning Teacher is to assist in delivering learning outcomes to students within a supportive and inclusive setting. The Diverse Learning Teacher works closely with the classroom teacher and is supported by the Diverse Learning Teacher in Charge. Position commencing Term 1 2023

<p><b> Position commencing Term 1, 2023.</b></p><p>St Vincent’s College Ashfield will commence in 2023 as a K to 12 co-educational Catholic systemic school in the Archdiocese of Sydney. This follows the amalgamation of three Ashfield schools - St Vincent’s Catholic Primary School, Bethlehem College and De La Salle College - which provided over 400 years of combined service to Catholic education. The reinvigorated education offering will provide pre to post schooling opportunities to benefit the broader Ashfield community.</p><p>Essential criteria:</p><ul><li>Support for the mission of and commitment to the ethos of Catholic schools.</li><li>Have recognised teaching qualifications in diverse learning and preferably have prior experience in the role of a Diverse Learning Teacher.</li><li>Have experience in using the PP Tool and writing IAPs for students with diverse learning needs.</li><li>Demonstrate expertise in liaising with parents, carers, external agencies and other allied health professionals.</li><li>Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and Leaders of Learning to build their capacity in the area of differentiation for students with diverse learning needs.</li><li>Model exemplary classroom practice in differentiating learning for students with diverse learning needs.</li><li>Work effectively in a team environment with teaching and support staff.</li><li>Highly effective organisational skills, the ability to prioritise and manage workload and to use the Google platform for communication and planning.</li></ul><p>Applicants for this position are asked to ensure the following documentation is submitted by the due date:</p><ul><li>A letter addressed to the Principal, outlining your suitability for the position and to articulate your suitability for a teaching role in a Catholic school, where collaboration and commitment to building positive relationships, with all members of the school community serves to enhance student learning.</li><li>A current Curriculum Vitae including experience, qualifications, academic transcripts, Working with Children check and at least three referees, including your current employer.</li></ul>
