<p>Xavier High School is a co-educational Catholic Secondary School catering for young people from Year 7 to Year 12. Xavier has developed a varied curriculum to meet a full range of students’ abilities and interests, providing a blend of traditional and innovative programs.</p><p>Click <a href="https://www.xhsww.catholic.edu.au/" rel="nofollow">here</a> to find out more about Xavier High School.</p><p><b>What we can offer:</b></p><ul><li>Temporary full-time position commencing Friday 27 January 2023 to Wednesday 20 December 2023.</li><li>Monday to Friday 8:00am - 4:00pm.</li><li>Access to Salary Packaging. </li><li>Access to our Employee Assistance Program. </li><li>Salary: Level 4/1: $30.32 per hour (Averaged - Does not work during school break).</li></ul><p><b>About the Role:</b></p><p>The Administration and Events Assistant has a key role to play in supporting the administrative function of the school in both the Learning and Teaching Sector and the Events and Operations Sector. In performing this role, the occupant is required to build a level of trust and respect within the school community and external stakeholders. This role is very much about promoting a positive image of the School and demonstrating our Catholic ethos and values.</p><p><b>Key responsibilities include:</b></p><ul><li>Assist the Events team in various tasks including the administrative tasks surrounding events management </li><li>Work in collaboration with the appropriate staffing member/s and other stakeholders to ensure that the requirements of the event are understood, planned for and delivered and that events comply with relevant procedures and policies. </li><li>Complete the risk management process for school events </li><li>Support and attend meetings, help with agendas and minutes if required for meetings involving events. Follow up action items arising from meetings </li><li>Building and maintaining relationships and rapport with the school community and with external providers/stakeholders </li><li>Ability to occasionally work outside of normal school hours </li><li>Providing a high level of administrative support to your supervisors. </li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in the use of office systems and software relevant to the role </li><li>Demonstrated Problem solving skills </li><li>Able to communicate effectively in a written and verbal capacity with a various range of stakeholders </li><li>Able to manage time effectively with a range of tasks and competing priorities </li><li>Able to provide exceptional Customer Service to Parents, Students and the community. </li><li>Able to work effectively under pressure in a team environment.</li></ul><p><b>About You:</b></p><ul><li>Current Working with Children’s Check </li><li>Current First Aid Certificate </li><li>Current Drivers Licence </li><li>National Criminal History Check </li><li>May be required to Undergo the successful Completion of Functional Assessment (organised by Employer)</li></ul><p><b>JOB SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS </b></p><p>Cert III in Business Administration/Events or equivalent Experience in administration work (preferred)</p><p>Role Description is attached.</p><p><b>What is next?</b></p><p>To apply for this position please forward your Curriculum Vitae and a cover letter no longer than one pages to <b>Ingrid Hopwood </b>at <a href="mailto:xhs-info&#64;ww.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">xhs-info&#64;ww.catholic.edu.au</a>.</p><p> </p><p><b>Applications Close Tuesday 13 December 2022.</b><br /></p><p><i>This position involves working with children.
