Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) continues to be a thriving and growing contemporary educational community with over 150 schools, more than 71,000 students, 10,000 staff and a large alumni community.<br /> <br /> <strong>About the role</strong><br /> <br /> Reporting to the Manager: Leadership and Research, the Supervisor: Leadership and Research focuses on directing and supporting the team and developing school instructional leaders to enhance teachers' pedagogical practice and improve student learning outcomes. We seek a strategic and driven leader with proven success in leading initiatives and innovation in education.<br /> <br /> The successful candidate for this position will be a highly effective leader responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>supporting the facilitation, monitoring and implementation of the SCS leadership development program</li> <li>facilitating the delivery of systematic, intensive training for Master Teachers and Instructional Specialists, including role induction, how to coach and mentor other teachers and how to interpret evidence and data to enact system-level change management</li> <li>coordinating and developing the Inquiry and Review process for schools</li> <li>facilitating the identification and evaluation of contemporary educational research, the composition of critical research papers with effective recommendations for SCS</li> <li>negotiating and collaborating with Education and Research Managers and Supervisors to ensure synergy across the directorate and then across networks and schools</li> <li>forecasting needs and developing and executing SCS strategies in accordance with the directorate in consultation with the Manager</li> <li>managing the budget and maintaining metrics</li> <li>managing the development, implementation and monitoring of key performance indicators for direct reports.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About you</strong><br /> <br /> The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:</p> <ul> <li>a University Degree in Education or Teaching</li> <li>postgraduate qualifications in education, teaching or leadership</li> <li>minimum five years of teaching experience in a school</li> <li>a minimum of ten years experience in senior leadership roles in education.</li> <li>experienced in leading staff in professional learning</li> <li>knowledge of the causes of student disengagement with learning and evidence-based solutions with proven success</li> <li>demonstrated success in implementing school-wide initiatives</li> <li>experienced in using data analysis to inform educational initiatives</li> <li>experience in leading change management and policy implementation</li> <li>experience in the facilitation of adult professional learning</li> <li>demonstrated capacity to select and support the development of innovative and effective pedagogies, including virtual learning</li> </ul> <ul> <li>willingness to respect, support and uphold the mission, ethos and teachings of the Catholic Church and the values of Sydney Catholic Schools.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Application process</strong><br /> <br />To apply for this position please <a href="https://cgprod.phris.org.au/psp/CGPRD/EMPLOYEE/HRMS/c/HRS_HRAM_FL.HRS_CG_SEARCH_FL.GBL?Page=HRS_APP_JBPST_FL&amp;Action=U&amp;FOCUS=Applicant&amp;SiteId=2&amp;JobOpeningId=2775&amp;PostingSeq=1">CLICK HERE</a> and follow the prompts.
