Our aim is to foster critical thinking, curiosity, and a love of learning.&nbsp; We encourage students to develop into confident and generous young men and women who use their individual gifts in pursuit of both personal fulfillment and the common good.</p> <p><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>The position of <strong>Youth Ministry Officer</strong> reports to the Religious Education Coordinator (REC) and will work to support the three Catholic Schools in Goulburn, being St Joseph's Catholic Primary Goulburn, Sts Peter and Paul Catholic Primary Goulburn and Trinity Catholic College Goulburn. The Youth Ministry Officer will assist in animating the Religious Life of the Catholic School by supporting and developing student ministry initiatives and assisting in the development of youth faith formation and catechesis.<br><br>The Youth Ministry Officer will support the development, implementation and growth of the Catholic Schools Youth Ministry Australia (CSYMA) Youth Ministry model within the Catholic school. The Youth Ministry Officer will assist the teacher in supporting religious education curriculum in classrooms.</p> <p><br><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>Sound understanding of and ability to articulate the Church's mission in Catholic education.</li> <li>Understanding of the Catholic Schools Youth Ministry Australia or other school/ curriculum-based youth ministry formation programs.</li> <li>Good knowledge, and personal commitment to, the Catholic Church and its teachings.</li> <li>Sound organisation and administration skills.</li> <li>Sound interpersonal and communication skills.</li> <li>Ability to work autonomously and be responsible and accountable for own work.</li> <li>Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively in a team environment.</li> <li>Compliance with relevant federal and state legislation (including child protection laws) and educational guidelines/ directives.</li> </ul> <p><em>Please refer to the role description for an in-depth detail regarding criteria and skill set required.</em><br><em><br></em><strong>Application Process</strong></p> <p>Applications are invited from interested candidates able to demonstrate a commitment to the vision of Catholic Education.</p> <p>Applicants are required to submit a cover letter and current resume including a statement of suitability against the skills, attributes and experience as outlined in the Position Description</p> <p>This position involves working with children.
