Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.

We are seeking&nbsp;a highly skilled, contemporary and passionate Secondary English/RE&nbsp;Teacher who is keen to share their unique gifts as part of our school community and who always strives to enrich the lives of the students they work with.</p> <p><strong>Key focus areas</strong></p> <p>The Secondary English/RE Teacher will fit the following criteria:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Experience in teaching Junior and Senior English as well as Religious Education</li> <li>Extensive pedagogical content knowledge and a deep understanding of the skills required for students to learn and succeed in the subject/s</li> <li>Understanding of how to differentiate learning to cater for the needs of all students to maximise student learning outcomes</li> <li>Understanding of the importance of learning environments, lesson plans, use of technology, teaching pedagogies and the delivery of assessment of, as and for learning and feedback to continuously promote improvement of student outcomes&nbsp;</li> <li>Actively seeks opportunities to continuously improve their teaching pedagogies by engaging in reflective practice and identifying and participating in professional learning that will develop their skills and ability to enhance student learning experiences</li> <li>Think creatively and work collaboratively within a team to ensure the provision of excellence in learning experiences for their students</li> <li>Seek opportunities to engage with a range of 'communities' inside and beyond the school to assist all learners to work to a high standard and set achievable goals for themselves and their students</li> <li>Able to motivate students to achieve and to develop a life-long love of learning</li> </ul> <p>Please respond to the above selection criteria in your cover letter.&nbsp;Applicants are required to provide their CEDP employee pin number, Working with Children check number, university transcripts and the names and contact numbers of three referees.
